As a leader and partner in the revitalization of Midtown, Wayne State University is committed to being a good neighbor in a good neighborhood. The Office of Economic Development at Wayne State was created in 2011 to help leverage the assets of the University to be a catalyst for growth on our campus and throughout the community. Whether it's bringing Zipcar to Detroit to help people get around town, partnering with private developers on major mixed use projects in the neighborhood, or connecting businesses large and small to our talented faculty, researchers, and students, the Office of Economic Development works to maximize the University's impact in Midtown and Detroit.
